Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence - "Wastewi$e Label - Class of Good"

The Wastewi$e Label is a recognition scheme established to encourage Hong Kong businesses / organizations in adopting measures to reduce the amount of waste generated  within their establishments or generated through the services and products they provide; and recognize the waste reduction efforts of those companies.

Best EPC / RFID Implementation - Gold Award
Most Innovative EPC / RFID Products - Silver Award
Most Innovative Use of EPC / RFID - Bronze Award
RFID Truck Control System innovated by NEC Hong Kong Limited implemented at the Asia Airfreight Terminal (AAT).  This is the first time RFID is used to control vehicle traffic within the cargo terminals. NEC is responsible for the development, consultation and services support of the new system. 

Certificate of Merit
The RFID Laundry System implemented in both Laundry Company and Wong Tai Sin hospital.  The system helps the clients reduced the manpower cost and to keep track to avoid miscounting of laundry pieces.

NeoFace Control Face Recognition System for Access Control
Using face-recognition technology for identifying individuals, and can be effectively applied in a variety of systems. It detects face images that are captured with cameras and other devices, and matches them against pre-registered face data.

NEC Hong Kong Limited / Asia Airfreight Terminal Co. Ltd
Asia Airfreight Terminal (AAT) has adopted the enhanced Truck Control System (TCS) with RFID to handle the growing throughput and improve the customer service level. NEC Hong Kong Limited is responsible for the development, consultation and service support of the new system.
